As the debate intensifies over the use of Flock license plate reader cameras across Minnesota, some police departments are taking a new step that’s drawing criticism from transparency advocates — hiding where the cameras are located.
A 5 INVESTIGATES review of state data found that dozens of Flock cameras no longer include location information. Entries that once listed the intersections where the cameras sit now read “location withheld.”
