We’ve been tracking the chance for heavy rain Saturday morning, and it looks to remain likely tonight. One of the uncertainties now is exactly where the heaviest rainfall will occur, as this is dependent on where storms fire this afternoon in the Dakotas. The rain will push east overnight, and could bring locally 2-3 inches of rain for some areas.
Tomorrow, recent models show the rain clearing out as early as mid morning, and as late as noon. This is good news for fairgoers who are planning to go out Saturday afternoon! We’ll still warm up to around 80° with higher humidity after the morning rainfall. That humidity will linger into Sunday. Sunday looks to be the hotter but more sunny day of the weekend, with highs in the upper 80s returning.
