Minnesota US Senate race: Peggy Flanagan and Michele Tafoya face off to replace Senator Tina Smith

Minnesotans will have to decide who will replace outgoing Senator Tina Smith’s seat Tuesday.

Front runners for the position include Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan (DFL) and former sideline reporter Michele Tafoya (GOP).

The latest polling gives Flanagan a slight edge.

Tafoya is seeking to become the first Republican U.S. senator from Minnesota since 2009.
