Minnesotans will vote Tuesday to choose the state’s next state auditor, a position that oversees local government finances and investigates allegations of defrauding local — not state — public funds, in part.
The race includes three candidates. Julie Blaha, the current State Auditor, is not seeking reelection after serving two terms.
Republicans haven’t held this position in Minnesota since 2007.
