Lake Monster Brewing in St. Paul says it is closing its taproom after this weekend, with new owners set to take over the space soon.
The brewery announced its final day will be Sunday, ending more than a decade at its location in the St. Anthony Park neighborhood.
“It’s really nice to know that people did appreciate this and will continue to until lights go out on Sunday,” general manager and director of operations Carlos Mariani said.
While Mariani conceded Lake Monster was “not immune” to the ongoing decline in alcohol sales affecting the craft beer industry, he said the brewery is still in talks to keep producing some of its “core beers.”
More details about the taproom’s future are expected in the coming days.<...
