A Minnesota state judge says a law that takes more than $6 million from Anoka County and gives it to the City of Anoka is unconstitutional. The county called the effort revenge politics.
“These dollars can’t be diverted to personal revenge politics projects. That this has to be what the people support,” said Scott Schulte, Anoka County Commissioner. “They snuck some legislation through in the middle of the night that would take that money, give it to the City of Anoka to build a pedestrian bridge as part of their surf park plan.”
