A Hennepin County deputy is expected to recover after a stolen vehicle in a police pursuit crashed into his squad car.
MINNEAPOLIS — A Hennepin County sheriff's deputy was treated at the scene and is expected to be okay after a stolen vehicle fleeing Minneapolis police crashed into the deputy's squad car early Friday morning, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office said the crash happened around 2 a.m. as Minneapolis police were pursuing a stolen vehicle that had fled officers in Minneapolis.
According to the sheriff's office, the vehicle was being driven "flagrantly reckless" and had reportedly been involved in multiple vehicle smash-and-grab incidents.
