Ford recalls nearly 150,000 cars over wiring defect that could lead to loss of power

Depending on which connection is impacted, it could impact power or disable the windshield washer system, headlights, air conditioning or the engine cooling fan.

WASHINGTON — Ford is recalling nearly 150,000 Mustang vehicles because a faulty wiring connection could cause a loss of power, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said. 

In a recall notice on Aug. 25, the Ford Motor Company said that in certain 2024 through 2026 Mustang vehicles, the engine compartment wiring harness ground connections may fracture and result in a loss of drive power.
